2015 Ford KA Concept revealed in Europe
Last month we revealed the new Ford KA Concept after it debuted in Brazil, and now Ford has brought it to Europe to reveal where the KA is heading. At Ford’s Go Further event in Barcelona this week, Ford revealed the KA Concept as its vision of what the 2015 Ford KA will look like and offer. Sadly, the KA seems to have lost its quirkiness and gone mainstream; it looks like another homogeneous Ford, just smaller.
A warm and sunny London was the venue for the second Design Conference organised by the UK-based magazine Interior Motives. The conference took place June 7-8 at the Museum in Docklands near Canary Wharf in the heart of the revitalized docklands area to the east of London and was enjoyed by around one hundred delegates from the international automotive design community.The two-day summit was chaired by educators from two design schools, as a way of deliberately promoting neutral yet informed discussions from the panel. Matteo Conti, Programme Leader of Transportation Design at Northumbria University introduced the speakers on the first day, while on day two Dave Muyres and Geoff Wardle from Art Center College of Design jointly chaired the session.
The Hyundai HCD-14 (pictured) is the most significant concept car of 2013
Hyundai does do good concept cars, and they do have a bit of a track record of taking more of what a concept promises through to production than many other car makers. Like the i-Flow that turned in to the Hyundai i40. So the news that a Hyundai concept has grabbed the gong for the most significant concept car of 2013 does auger well for a future where the Hyundai HCD-14 Genesis actually turns in to the next Genesis, with much of what the concept offers still recognisable.
